illustration of the problem with respect to general
Government Information Systems as well as embedded-logic
systems prevalent in areas such as health, transportation
and the utilities.

Detailed Sectoral
Presentations
- Telecommunications
- Finance and Banking
- A major international
business
- Public service
functions
- Presentations on the
manner in which the millennium problem can be expected to
impact these sectors as well as their interactions with
Government.
Wednesday 16th September
SESSION FOUR
Managing the Problem
An exposition of the
various facets and issues involved, including budgetary
implications, problem-ownership, resourcing and support
options, supply-chain and legal implications, strategic
planning and contingency planning.
SESSION FIVE
Working Groups
Session:
An Analysis of the
Issues and Recommendations
Delegates will have the
opportunity to bring to bear their own expert views and
concerns with a view to the formulation of a submission
to the forthcoming Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting
in Ottawa.

Dealing with the

A practical review of
methodologies, guidelines and tool-kits applicable to the
