About the Workshop
The Commonwealth Network of Information Technology for Development
(COMNET-IT), in association with their sponsors, the Management and Training
Services Division of the Commonwealth Secretariat, London, have successfully
delivered a workshop in Malta, "Enhancing Public Service Delivery Through
Information Technology".
This workshop was intended for the public sector policy makers and managers
from across the Commonwealth to share ideas and experiences on how to make
effective and sustainable use of information technology to enhance both the
operations of government entities and the delivery of services provided to the
public in their respective countries and regions.
The Workshop was also sponsored by the Office of the Prime Minister in Malta
and the Malta Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Commonwealth’s Third Country
Programme.
Target group
This workshop was targeted at senior public sector policy makers and managers
responsible for planning and guiding the implementation of information
technology for providing service to the public. It was also open to a limited
number of public sector policy advisors, academics and consultants.
